Ancient Sentinel Strategy

Reminder, the Sentinel is the bigger, badder of the ancient tin cans.

What did you do to come close to beating it?

this is as accurate as I can remember:
r4 megas, r3 elemental, r6 tank killers, r6 legendary boar, r4 radio tech

mega, x, x, x, mega
mega, tk, elemental, tk, tk,
boar, rt, boar

take out the right arm first (the one closest to top of screen)
the boar's roar and elemental freeze work excellent followed by the tks. I will have r5 megas by the end of the week: still have 1.5 days to go on my UH1B upgrade

I've heard veterans work great because of their dodge ability, but you need to be r6 to be effective, I am r3 with my vets right now

the elemental freeze combined with mech trooper 3rd attack allowed me to destro one of its arms in 4 shots!!

in three shots.

although, once i have frozen the left arm and beaten it with two shots of mechTroopers´third attack, i find it very difficult to freeze or stun the other two remaining parts of the Sentinel

opaa, getting closer, last battle i defeated both arms, pretty quickly, even stunning the right arm with blood ninja strike.
but the super high damage reduction of the sentinel main body makes it very hard to defeat!
gonna check other sites to look for weaknesses

I did it!!! And here it was my strategy:
1st row 5 heaviers r5
2nd row elemental, x, mech trooper,x,elemental
3rd row mech trooper,rado tech r4 ,mech trooper
I first took away left arm using the elemental for freezing it and then the 3rd attack of mech. Then i forgot about right arm and concentrate in the body all my attacks. Using only 3rd mech attack and 3rd radio tech attack when was available.
I loosed 2 hvyr and the radio tech ))).

I'm happy that you convinced me to get 2 mech troopers. I tried to beat the AS for the first time and made it with this setup and without nano healing:
1st row: 5 R6 Megas
2nd row: x - R7 Mech - x - R5 Elemental - R7 Mech
3rd row: R6 Trebuchet - R4 Radio Tech - x

After freezing the Ranged Arm I could destroy it with only 1 raptor shot of the Treb, followed by attacking the body with the Mechs 2nd and 3rd attacks, another raptor shot and one Radio Tech shot. I lost 1 Mega, 1 Mech, the Treb and the Radio Tech.
Does the AS have the same respawn rate as the AC (168 hours aka 7 days)?

Did anyone who defeated the Sentinel with this the first time a fragment? I'm just curious if someone was lucky because this person would be the first guild member with a sentinel frag.

Yes, has the same respawn rate, so you will see it probably after one week.

No frag for me... I posted my formation in another thread

After defeating the AS last Wednesday it respawned yesterday again (only 4 days waiting time). This time I lost the radio tech and Treb only, without getting a fragment.

We have 2 actual AS threads here, maybe a moderator could merge them?

Finally beat it. No frag, but I'll keep trying for that. My formation:

Leg Boar, Leg Mammoth, X, Leg Mammoth, Leg Boar
X, Mega Tank, Elemental Trooper, Mega Tank, X
X, Mech Troop, Radio Tech, Mech Troop, X

I lost 1 mammoth, 1 boar, 1 radio tech and 1 mech trooper. Basically I just freeze and destroy the ranged amr as quick as possible and then attack with the mech troopers until the radio tech is ready. I didn't get a frag, but I did get 5 widgets and 4 laurels.
