Boss Strike 8
Hey all! Thought I'd go ahead and start the discussion on BS8.
We are doing great!!! I feel like our participation is way up, with more members contributing more points.
That, sadly, is not what we generally use this forum for. This Officer section is for discussing making the guild stronger while maintaining the NBK attitude of not being too demanding.
We should start discussing making room for more active future members.
For starters, I see no reason why anyone over rank 35 can't contribute 20,000 points unless they're still really new to the game and too weak at the moment.

I agree. I understand that some people don't want to commit the time necessary to contribute those kinds of points, and I don't hold it against anyone, but they should really look for a different guild if that's their approach to the game. We always strive to keep things fun, but still stay competitive and always improve. If certain players can't or won't devote the time to help us reach the next level, then we should politely remove them from NBK.
For instance, I basically couldn't play at all on Saturday or Sunday because I had other matters to attend to. Even after missing basically 2 full days I have managed to score well over 100,000 points with each of my accounts. I don't expect everyone to score that high, but it's obvious that some people just don't even try (and some of them are constantly asking for help on the chat even tho they contribute almost nothing to the cause).
One thing I didn't like that probably led to a slow start for a lot of us was that Z2 didn't give us any in-game warning about the BS this time which was a bit of a head scratcher. Still anyone who still hasn't shown up after 3 days should get the axe.
Also note the players who communicated that they couldn't participate. Arleeng had a death in the family and nawaf was out of town, I believe. We don't want to accidentally boot them because if this.

Re: Boss Strike 8
I'm torn between kicking low contributing members and keeping them. A level 65 player with only 20,000 or 30,000 Boss Points should definitely contribute more, but we all have real lives and personal matters which may hinder someone to play more.
But, we said it often before, posting a short message here or in the game chat that one can't play for some reasons shouldn't be to much.
This is still a game for me and I don't mind if I'll get a special air unit or not, even if the tier 9 reward of 90 nanos would be nice to have.
ATM there's one thing I don't like so much which OLB mentioned in his previous post: annoying people who don't stop asking for help or assists, often in an impolite and impatient way. You can guess whom I mean.

I think under 10k is unacceptable and under 20k should be looked at individually. Anyone with a solid excuse will of course stay. Even if we kick someone and they come back and say "I was sick" later, we can bring them back. Accidents will happen.
After the BS, we will all say a silent prayer for Lady to post one of those great spreadsheets. Then we will look for weak links.

Not to worry, spreadsheet has been active. Updated it on Saturday, then Sunday, doing it right now and will have final one, soon after completion of BS, tomorrow. Have added some notes. We still have the same peeps not updating and I am waiting to see if they wait until the very last moment to do so, just to get the rewards. That needs to stop. I also have problems with our level 65s and even those in the 60-64 range not being at least 50,000. I will comment more, later. Remember, I got to the 200000 level fairly quickly.

Besides the usal lazy guys I'm actually pretty proud of us.
When I look on the leaderboard and compare it to the spreadsheet from the last boss strike I see a lot of improvments on many guild members.
We finished Tier 8 even ealier than the last time and we make slowly our progress to finish tier 9.

Exactly my thoughts Vamp. As long as we improve every time I'm happy. Besides we still have time to knock out tier 9.

Re: Boss Strike 8
All good comments (as usual ) I think anyone at level 60-65 should be able to contribute 50k+ i think it also depends on how many nano units people have. But saying that 50k is achievable. I personally don't have many, a couple of jet pack units, and 3 leg boar. I am still trying to rank up my tanks, but man, it takes a long time. Most of my contributions are with wimps, mg cannons and chuckers - which is between 800-1500 each time. So it takes ages! As Lady says, lets see who hasn't updated, and then kick 'em. There have been plenty of friendly warnings regarding communicating if someone is unavailable etc. A lot of the new guys are really contributing, lets kick out the dead wood and get some fresh blood in.
just my 2 cents...

TRAGEDY!!! My phone has died and my unreliable charger finally decided not to work at all today. I will keep trying to get some juice, but I'm afraid my BS contributions may be at an end...

Do you have a computer? If so, download Bluestacks Appplayer and there download Battle nations.
Re: Boss Strike 8
Woops.... Gj to you lady, smit, and ceh!!! Excellent work!!! I can't wait to level up my few nano troops to help my wimps out.... My points came from all wimps and lumber... So hopefully next go round will go better. Yea, the no warning for this BS was kinda a surprise!!! My daughter had basketball tournaments all weekend to so took me off guard... We still rocked this one! But as some of you may know, I leave for a few months this month, so next BS I will defiantly be minimal, this was kinda a last push for me for a while... I have a lot of work to accomplish before leaving. I know i haven't been to vocal as of late, that is why... If you need to give my leader slot to another because they deserve it, I am good with that... Just please don't give me the boot... Lol...

Great progress on BS everyone - go team NBK!!.
Also, I think I accidentally voted on iitsthakev's first post on this thread. I am sending this to avoid a "are you mad at me" email...lol

Yeah, there is currently no feature to reset reputation, maybe I should check the support forums...
Re: Boss Strike 8
Wimps worked well in this BS (not many armoured enemies and only some air units). That's probably one reason why our guild almost reached tier 9. Unfortunately one of my strongest units was useless in this BS: I couldn't use Trebuchets because they need lots of lumber to repair.
