Boss Strike #12 - Raider Warlords (Raiders)

Since Vamp is rightfully boycotting Z2 for this BS (stand strong brother lol) I figured I'd start the strategy topic for this BS. Please post any strategies you think might help your fellow NBK members in scoring as many points and limiting as many casualties as possible.

Personally I've obviously had the most luck on both OLB and Tron with R6 Wimps since vehicles are not allowed in this BS. Of course not everybody has their Wimps maxed out, so any other formations and units that you have found useful should be posted here. Good luck NBK!

Wimps are where it's at! Too bad this awful no tanks/metal idea came so soon after the spiderwasp queen fight became available: the spiderwasp egg is a very good frontline defense and I only have one.

I got thru all 4 waves easily with wimps and egg in front row, leg mammoth, raptor, and boar; r6 elemental, my one and only jetpack and a chinook, although I didnt find the chinook particularly useful

this will definitely be a wimp grinding event, which in a way is nice since I've had almost no use lately for those wimps i worked so hard for. 3 wimps, 2 sandbags, and a random crappy unit or two to draw enemy fire easily nets over 1000 pts.

I found that big foots make good tanks, samurais do amazing for anyone that has them. I bought 9 of them when they were around and I don't regret it. Of course the legendary animals do great also. The laser gunners and snipers are nice too. But like these other two said just throwing wave after wave of wimps at them seems to work the best, least it had for me. I'm gonna save all my good units for a last final push though. But big foot tanks ftw.

I pick waves without this flying raider thing and put 3 plasma field techs in my third row. They can onehit most raiders and need 2 shots for the armoured enemies. The watchtower can be weakened with ETs. Another good unit is the Royal Spiderwasp Warrior, which can hit up to 9 targets with one attack.

Thank you, OLB, would be sad to drop this tradition ^^
I tested some formations because I was curious how the new restrictions turn out this BS. I still don't play rightfully as you can see on my score.
But I want to share at least some strategies so other people can benefit from it.

People that have legendary critters should use them in every formation. They are definitly the backbone of your army in this fight, erveryone in the official BN forums say all the same, if you have them, use them.
If you also have the Samurais, use them as well. High Dodge rate plus great damage against infantry works wonders.
Drop the promo unit from this strike. It has bad stats and a lot of people say it's not good enough to stand out. But if you want one for collections sake you shpuld get it, the design of the unit looks pretty awesome in my opinion. If I wouldn't boycott right now to purchase nanopod stuff I would buy one just because of the design even if I wouldn't use one ever in the BS.

So, to everyone who has not a lot of nanopodunits will have a harder time. Peacekeepers shall be very good I heard, except from that use wimps if you have max ranked them (and because of such situations you should have them maxed anyways). If you have infected, USE them. They are the next best thing you can have besides of legendary animaly. Unfortunatley you can unse only 3 so you have to consider which one would be the best. I suggest an canoneer for mammoth riders, bullfrogs for mass attacks and stalkers for infantry.

If you can make lightning soldiers, use them. They are pretty awesome because of their stun chance, their large attack area, they can hit both land AND air units and the best thing, they are cheap and fast to heal. They should be your main source of units when you have them unlocked.
Chemical units are also nice because a lot of raiders are weak against fire type damage.

Cryo Soldiers are excellent to deal with those heavy enemies that can take wuite a beating including the bosses. They also are useful to take out that annoying watchtowers that have stun immunity but not freeze immunity. So freeze these enemies and use a strong attack right after that to kill them as fast as possible.

I hope you can make good use of these strategies.

This formation works really great for me. Mostly just lose one or two Wimps.
Wimp, LR, Wimp, LB, Wimp
LM, Samurai, ET, Samurai, X
X, Bullfrog, X

And for spamming I use following formation, but lose all troops in the 4. Wave:
Wimp, SB, Wimp, SB, Wimp
X, LT, LT, LT, X

Spam drones and chunooks. Use lgnd. Raptor, weapon tech and samurai. Beat it 15 or so times
